Join free, virtual skills-building groups offered by the Counselling & Student Well-Being department.

Learn techniques to help you better manage your thoughts, behaviours, and emotions.

How to join
To join these groups, book an intake appointment with a counsellor and let them know which group you're interested in. To request an appointment, either email letstalk@georgebrown.ca or book online through the Counselling Student Portal. Spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Healthy Emotions Group
Dates:
Wednesdays from 2:00 - 3:30 pm, from February 1 – February 22, online over Zoom
Learn mindfulness and distress tolerance techniques to help you deal with stress, difficult emotions, depression and anxiety, impulse control issues, addictions and excessive behaviours. It's important to be able to attend all sessions.
Healthy Thinking Group
Dates:
Fridays from 1:30 - 3:00 pm, from February 3 – 17, and March 3, online over Zoom
Learn techniques to help you better manage your thoughts, behaviours and emotions. It's important to be able to attend all sessions. Spaces are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Mindfulness Skills & Healthy Thinking Group: Join anytime
Dates:
Thursdays from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, from February 2 until April 7, online over Zoom
Learn skills to help you be more present, kinder to yourself, and better manage your thoughts and emotions. You can join anytime, attend as many weeks as you would like, but spaces are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Healthy Relationship Skills Group

Wednesdays from 2:00 - 3:30 pm, from March 8 until March 29, online over Zoom
Learn interpersonal effectiveness and emotion regulation techniques to help you deal with stress, difficult emotions, depression and anxiety, impulse control issues, addictions and excessive behaviours. It's important to be able to attend all sessions.
