Student Networks

SA Recreational Networks is a series of activities and programming that is focused on the overall well-being of GBC students outside the classroom. The benefits of joining a Student-Led Recreation Network is the opportunity to develop leadership and soft skills such as communication and teamwork.

Examples of activities include non-traditional sport activities, self-defence programs, student-led recreational programming and activities that aid in stress management.

Anime Vortex – Next Generation


The purpose of the network is sharing the common interest of Japanese animation and novels with George Brown College students and faculty


GBC Computing 

GBC Computing allows students to engage with challenges and activities to enhance skills in relations with computing programs. 

GBC Dungeons and Dragons

This Network Aims to help students with design, writing, speaking and social skills through the use of group based on video game interaction and peer interaction.


GBC Dragon Boat Club

GBC Dragon Boat is a collective of students that participates in the annual Dragon Boat Race festival.


GBC Ski and Snowboarding Network


The purpose of the network is to create a social network for students that love skiing and snowboarding in the winter season. 


League of Legends


The GBC Board Games and Friends network invites you to join us for a weekly dose of fun! We have strategy, concentration, party games and many more. And if you don’t know how to play, don’t worry. Our Game Master will guide you!




The Organization of Latin American Students (OLAS) provides students at George Brown College with Hispanic/Latino descent with the opportunity to share their culture with all students, faculty and staff at George Brown College. The network welcomes all students to join this network. OLAS serves as an academic space, focusing on discussions and activities such as: education, culture, history, politics and events.


Volume One: Anime Club

Volume One is GBC’s premiere network for Anime, Manga, Gaming PC/Console, Cosplay, Fanfic and more. Our multimedia rooms provide CrunchyRoll releases as well as a gaming room stocked with XBox & Playstation. Bring your handhelds & smartphones for Pokemon Fun.


Health Networks

SA Health Networks creates a community for George Brown students to come together for wide range of purposes and learning opportunities to improve the health, mental well-being and wellness of students at George Brown College.

The Health Network are focused on peer-to-peer mentoring, counselling, workshops on mental-wellness and various programming that resonates with mental health.

ASL Network

ASL Network Toronto offers opportunity for individuals to learn American Sign Language. The network also focuses on creating bridges between the hearing and the Deaf culture.


GBC Medlife

GBC Medlife is focused on volunteering and providing assistance for low-class communities to improve their access to medicine, education, and community development project.


The Network

The purpose is to bring awareness and assist with educational success to students who identify as black. The Network also provides counselling and mentorship to students.



Student-Led Academic Networks

The Academic Networks facilitate students coming together to form academic groups that support peer-to-peer learning and contribute to academic success.

American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers ASHRAE helps GBC students get connected with industry leaders, employees and alumni in HVAC and construction industries from the day of their enrollment in college. They can build up connections through participating in virtual platforms, physical conference events through conducting or watching online interviews in their field to be prepared for the market while staying.

Canadian Nursing Student Association 

CNSA is a communication link among nursing students across Canada. CNSA advocates on behalf of the nursing students at George Brown College. They conduct a series of workshops, speaking engagements and activations on campus.



Enactus seeks to help our community to achieve the economic and social success by empowering students with field education opportunities through partnership and learning innovations.


GBC Analytics GBC Analytics deliver real world experience to its Members, giving them opportunities to develop or advance their skill sets in Business and Analytics and also to create networking opportunities for Members who are interested in pursuing a career in Analytics.
GBC Computer Programming Society Bringing all the computer programming students. And students who are interested in computer programming together to create a fun learning environment. Help students build a network, find students to do projects with, and teach them new programming skills by organizing events and workshops.

GBC Renovators in association with building renovation technology program (T148) and building renovation technician program (T110). 

GBC Robotics and Drones

GBC Robotics and Drones in association with the Robotics Technician program and provide sessions to learn more about industrial robots and manufacturing system.


GBC Theatre Mice

GBC Theatre Mice in association with the Theatre program for GBC students.



Interactive Design and Experience

IDEA is focus on collaboration, networking, learning experience and inspire students through interactive design, interactive media management.


M.A.D (Music, Arts and Design)

M.A.D Club is focus on composing performing and recording songs for the production and manufacturing of music release annually.


Mix Media 

Mix Media provides opportunities to learn about various media outlets through a series of workshops and connect with other students in that space. 

Sustainability Squad

This club aims to bridge the gap between sustainability and student experience through implementing projects that benefit students and the environment. A student lead sustainability club will be held George Brown College reach its sustainability goals while engaging the students in a process, and this will imbed sustainable practices into campus culture while empowering students through increase environmental literacy. 

Women in Business 

Create a safe space for everyone to discuss their experiences, hardships and success within a business framework. We aim to support women in attaining the skills they need to effectively position themselves in a completive workplace via appropriate programming and advocacy.

Bangladesh Student Club


The main purpose of the association shall be to introduce and to promote interest in all aspect of life and culture of Bangladesh and to serve the current and prospective students from Bangladesh studying at George Brown College and to meet various needs.


Chinese Students and Scholarship Association


The purpose of the club is to have bible study conducted in college and meet-up to discuss the problem of the students and find a solutions to it.


Helping Each Other


Helping Each Other is a club with a focus on making new students familiar with George Brown services and help them with finding part-time jobs (on-campus), tips for studying and various services at the college.


Muslim Student Association


The goal of MSA is to create an encouraging and inclusive environment to the Muslim population at George Brown. Our mission is to serve the needs of these students on and off campus. The Aim and Purpose of MSA is to serve and represent the needs of Muslims on and off campus. This MSA will work towards integrating their values into George Brown’s community.


Repair the World


The purpose is to be an inclusive club that shares global humanitarian efforts, emerging relationships in the middle east and contribution to environmental sustainability.
