The SafeWalk program provides free walk accompaniment to students, faculty and visitors on George Brown campuses. The Student Association of George Brown College (SAGBC) previously announced the credit/refund to students for the SafeWalk fee for the Fall 2020 and Winter 2021 semester with the promise to continue supporting the program. However, the SAGBC has made the difficult decision to put the SafeWalk program on hold while the stay-at-home order from the Government is in place. Once the Government stay-at-home order is lifted, the Student Association will re-assess this decision and provide an update on this page.
Please check back for updates.
The SafeWalk Program is a joint initiative between the Student Association and George Brown College. SafeWalkers work in co-ed pairs to escort George Brown College students, staff and guests to local parking lots, TTC stops or other building on campus. All SafeWalkers are students who have been trained in Emergency First Aid.
The SafeWalk service is available Monday to Friday, from the first day of school in September through to the last day of school in April, with the exception of Winter Break and other days the College is closed.
