An exchange at George Brown gives you the opportunity to study and live in Toronto, one of Canada’s largest and most diverse cities.
While on exchange, you will pay tuition to your home school but enjoy the benefits of studying at George Brown. Academic credits are transferable from George Brown back to your home school upon successful completion of the program.

- Exchange Overview: To come to GBC on exchange, your home institution must have an exchange agreement with GBC. Incoming exchange students must be first nominated by their home institution.
- Application Deadline: The deadline for students to submit the incoming exchange student application is April 15th for the Fall semester and October 15th for the winter semester.
- How to Apply:
- Step 1. To participate in exchange at GBC, you must first be nominated by your home institution.
- Step .2 Once GBC approves your nomination, the Global Learning team will send you details on how to apply.
- Apply for travel grants and scholarships.
Pre-Arrival Support: Acceptance packages will be sent to students who have been accepted on exchange at GBC by email one month after the acceptance deadline and will include information about how to apply for residence, student fees, the orientation program, and arrival services.
Nomination Deadlines: Nomination deadline for the Fall semester is March 20th. The nomination deadline for the Winter semester is September 20th. The nomination form will be emailed to exchange partners in advance.
