Explore new creative horizons
The programs in the School of Design were created to flow into each other organically while functioning as independent, self-contained modules. Students can enter through the Art and Design Foundation program - G108 for a solid introduction to the field. This program opens up many diverse possibilities for students in addition to serving as excellent preparation for our Graphic Design program - G102 or Game - Art program G119 program.
Our Graphic Design program provides students with the intensive training necessary to work in the industry. As well, it provides an outstanding knowledge and skill base for our innovative post-diploma programs.
Our five post-graduate programs - the Interdisciplinary Design Strategy (Post-Graduate) - G414 (IDS),
Design Management - G401,
Digital Design - Game Design (Post-Graduate) - G405, Interactive Media Management (Post-Graduate) - G412 and Concept Art for Entertainment (Postgraduate) - G407 - are unique, cutting-edge experiences. Top students who wish to continue their digital education can proceed directly to our Game Design and Advanced Digital Design programs. The other programs – the IDS and Design Management – are geared
to people with more work experience. The IDS at the Institute Without Boundaries prepares people for work in design and strategic consulting, and Design
Management prepares people to work as design managers or design entrepreneurs.
In our new Honours Bachelor of Digital Experience Design four-year degree program - G301,
students will develop the ability to critically analyze and adapt to ever-changing conditions of technology and culture. Foundational courses build students’ analytical, technical and business skills. In upper year courses and capstone projects,
students collaborate on digital interfaces and applications, as well as interactive environments and objects.
