George Brown College's American Sign Language and Deaf Studies (C114) program is delivered online and is open to both Deaf and non-Deaf students. This program provides intensive training in American Sign Language (ASL) and English. If you are thinking about entering the Honours Bachelor of Interpretation (ASL – English) program, or if you want to combine ASL with another career, this program is highly recommended. This program is unique in Ontario.

George Brown College's Deafblind & Intervenor Studies (C158) program is a one-year certificate that will prepare you to work with individuals who have a combined vision and hearing loss. Significant components of this program are delivered online.PLEASE NOTE: If you apply to the 2023/24 intake for this program, you will start your studies in May 2024. To begin your studies in May 2023, apply to the 2022/23 academic year.

This program is eligible for a $1000 entrance scholarship.George Brown College's Honours Bachelor of Interpretation (American Sign Language – English) (C302) program uses a combination of classroom theory, research, hands-on practice and professional field experience to prepare graduates to work as qualified interpreters with a foundation in research development. It is the first degree of its kind in Canada.

This program is eligible for a $1000 entrance scholarship.George Brown College's Bachelor of Early Childhood Education – Honours is a two-year program designed for those with an Early Childhood Education diploma wishing to pursue a degree in early childhood leadership. This program will prepare you to become a progressive leader in this complex and evolving sector. This program offers a part-time study option. 

George Brown College's Early Childhood Education (Consecutive Diploma/Degree) (C118) is a joint program with Toronto Metropolitan University that offers many distinct advantages, including the ability to graduate with both an Early Childhood Education diploma from George Brown College and a Bachelor of Arts Early Childhood Studies degree from Toronto Metropolitan University.

George Brown College's Early Childhood Education (Fast-Track) (C130) program is designed for graduates with a diploma or degree in a related field. Students in this program will learn how to design curriculum for child-centred, play-based learning and will develop skills to respond to each child's unique needs and interests as they grow and develop. Students will learn to work with infants, toddlers, preschool and school-aged children in a variety of early childhood education settings.

George Brown College's Early Childhood Education (Consecutive Diploma/Degree) (C148) is a program that offers many distinct advantages, including the ability to graduate with both an Early Childhood Education diploma and an Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership degree from George Brown.

George Brown College's Early Childhood Education (ECE) (Accelerated) (C160) program is a condensed version of our two-year diploma program delivered over 16 consecutive months. Students in this ECE Diploma program will learn how to design curriculum for child-centred, play-based learning and will develop skills to respond to each child's unique needs and interests as they grow and develop. Students will learn to work with infants, toddlers, preschool and school-aged children in a variety of early childhood education settings.

Early Childhood Education is a two-year diploma program that uses rotating blocks of theory and practice to give you the skills you need to work with children from six weeks to 12 years of age in a variety of settings.

The Assaulted Women's and Children's Counsellor/Advocate (Accelerated) program provides students with a feminist, anti-racist analysis of the political and counselling issues related to gender-based violence. The program establishes a foundation for students to be agents for change in their work in community education, political action and law reform. It prepares students to provide anti-oppressive counselling and advocacy for self-identified women, children, trans and non-binary survivors who have experienced or are experiencing gender-based violence. This three-semester program is a condensed version of the two-year (C137) program. It is designed for applicants with an existing diploma or degree and work/volunteer experience in feminist organizations and programs, who are interested in accelerating their career as a Counsellor/Advocate for survivors of gender-based violence.PLEASE NOTE: If you apply to the 2023/24 intake for this program, you will begin your studies in May 2024.

George Brown College's Career Development Practitioner (C406) program will prepare students to provide advice and guidance related to career exploration, skill acquisition, job search and maintenance. This one-year post-diploma certificate program provides training to enter and/or advance in the field of career development.

George Brown College's Child and Youth Care (C133) program teaches students the skills they need to work effectively with children, youth and families who are experiencing social, emotional, developmental and behavioural challenges. The program integrates a holistic approach embedding an ecological perspective and principles of human rights, anti-oppressive practice, resiliency and restorative practice.

George Brown College's Child and Youth Care (Accelerated) (C153) program will teach you to work effectively with at-risk children, youth and families who are experiencing developmental, mental health, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Apply to this program stream if you have already completed a two- or three-year diploma, or a three- or four-year degree.PLEASE NOTE: If you apply to the 2023/24 intake for this program, you will start in May 2024. George Brown College's Community Worker (C101) program prepares students to work for progressive social change with organizations, communities and individuals across a range of issues such as poverty, housing, legal rights, discrimination, food justice, immigration and refugee settlement.

George Brown College's Community Worker (Accelerated) (C131) is a dynamic, fast-track program designed to prepare you to work with individuals, organizations and communities. You'll lean to work across a range of issues including social justice, poverty, housing, violence, food justice, immigration and settlement in ways that are responsive to their multiple and changing needs. This accelerated program stream is suitable for students with an existing diploma or degree. PLEASE NOTE: if you apply to the 2023/24 intake for this program, you will start in May 2024. To begin your studies in May 2023, apply to the 2022/23 academic year. This is an approved education program by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Graduates of this program may apply to receive the additional designation of RSSW (Registered Social Service Worker). Extra fees may apply.

George Brown College's Social Service Worker (C119) is an innovative program that provides students with an opportunity to learn theoretical models, approaches to practice, group facilitation, mental health supports, social innovation and anti-oppressive practice. This two-year program combines in-class learning with field placement.This is an approved education program by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).

George Brown College's Social Service Worker (Accelerated) (C135) is an innovative program that provides students with the opportunity to learn theoretical models, methods of practice, group facilitation, mental health supports, social innovation and anti-oppressive practice. This is a condensed version (three semesters) of the two-year (C119) program that allows college and university graduates from the social sciences entry into a career in social services.PLEASE NOTE: If you apply to the 2023/24 intake for this program, you will start in May 2024.
