To be considered for any of the awards listed below students must apply by selecting College-Wide Awards through STU-VIEW and be enrolled full-time in an George Brown Polytechnic Program. Student must be a George Brown Polytechnic athlete.

Available Awards
Athletic Expendable Scholarship Fund (George Brown Polytechnic Scholarship Fund)
Athletics and Recreation, on behalf of its supporters, will be making contributions towards an annual award. The gift is specifically designated to George Brown Polytechnic, Athletics and Recreation.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Register full-time domestic/international student
- Minimum 2.0 GPA
- Member of a George Brown varsity, extramural, intramural or part-time staffing team
- Member in good standing with his/her team in the Athletic and Recreation Department
Athletics and Recreation Scholarship
The Athletic Scholarship Fund Award is available to students enrolled in any program and year of study. Recipients must be members in good standing with their varsity athletic team.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- Minimum GPA of 2.0
- Student must display financial need
- Student must display work ethic, team play, willingness to participate in team functions, positive and supportive attitude and leadership skills
- Student must be a role model
Kim Ng Scholarship
Kim Ng has donated funds for the establishment of the Kim Ng Scholarship. The award is available to varsity athletes on men's or women's badminton teams in any year of study.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- Student must display work ethic, team play, willingness to participate in team functions, positive and supportive attitude and leadership skills
- Student must be a role model
Michael "Pinball" Clemons Award - Athletics & Recreation
Michael "Pinball" Clemons Award - Athletics & Recreation has been established for students involved in Athletics.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- Must have a GPA greater than 2.5
- Must be a member in good standing with Student Life Department and show improvement in performance throughout the year.
- Must demonstrate: good sportsmanship, excellent team play, and willingness to participate in department functions.
Varsity Athletics Scholarship
The Varsity Athletics Scholarship is available to varsity athletes on men's or women's varsity teams in any year of study.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- Student must have a GPA over 2.0
- Student must be able to perform at a high level of athletic excellence and demonstrate a positive attitude in both the academic and athletic environment.
Vital CPR Award
Vital CPR has generously agreed to contribute a total amount of $1,600, towards an expendable award. Two (2) awards of $800 each will be presented to two (2) full-time students.
The gift is specifically designated to George Brown Polytechnic students involved with the department of Athletics and Recreation at George Brown Polytechnic.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Registered, full-time domestic and/or international student
- Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in his/her program for the full academic year. Cannot have a failing grade.
- Must be a member of a George Brown Polytechnic varsity, extramural, intramural or part-time staffing team.
- Must be a member in good standing with his/her team in the Athletics and Recreation Department

Alex Barbier Bursary
The Alex Barbier Bursary is available to all registered students at George Brown Polytechnic in any year of study for all programs.
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student contributes to athletics or student life
Franklin (Frankie) Gyamfi Memorial Scholarship - Athletics
Ed Mark has donated funds for the establishment of the Franklin (Frankie) Gyamfi Memorial Scholarship- Athletics. This award is available for all registered students at George Brown Polytechnic for all programs
The following criteria must be met by the applicant:
- The student has made a significant contribution to a team, or athletics department or has helped improve the quality of life for a student(s) at George Brown Polytechnic
- Student must exude a positive and supportive attitude
