How can you host a third-party event?

Thank you for your interest in supporting the George Brown College Foundation by hosting a third party event. Third-party events are an important part of our fundraising efforts and we look to our supporters to help us reach out to their networks, workplaces and community groups in order to reach our fundraising goals.

It is easy to support the Foundation by hosting your own third party event, and we are here to help you get started. Every little bit helps and we appreciate your efforts to help us raise money to support our student success at the College.

Tips for Success

The key to a successful event is planning! Start with brainstorming event ideas, then develop a work plan and set deadlines for tasks to be accomplished. Also, ensure that your budget is realistic and keep detailed records of your expenses. Make sure everyone knows what they are responsible for and accountable for.

Do not forget to promote your event and your fundraising goals! The more people you get involved the more money you can raise. And remember, the Foundation is here to help.

5 to Watch – Canada’s Sports Business Awards celebrates the next generation of industry leaders. The awards were launched by George Brown College’s Centre for Business, School of Marketing Program Advisory Committee in partnership with the Globe & Mail, to recognize five leaders under the age of 40 in the Canadian Sports Business industry each year.
