What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday, the global day of philanthropy, takes place on November 30, 2021, the Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. After two big days of spending, Giving Tuesday is an amazing opportunity for people to band together and donate to important causes. The George Brown College Foundation is proud to participate in the global movement #GivingTuesday again this year. This year, we invite you to celebrate the holiday season by giving financial support to students facing financial challenges due to the pandemic.
This year more than ever, postsecondary students are facing unprecedented challenges. Job loss and reduced income brought on by the pandemic have affected many and students now face the challenge of funding their education in economically uncertain times.
Donate today to support students who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic at George Brown College. Your gift will go to students who are facing challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, such as food insecurity, housing issues, loss of income due to unemployment, unexpected education expenses (e.g. internet access, computers), and unexpected personal expenses (e.g. family care, travel to return home).
Every dollar counts to students in need, so 100% of your donation will go to George Brown College students who face challenges in completing their education. No processing fees or administration fees will be applied to your gift.
