The School of Architectural Studies’ (SAS) three-year Architectural Technology program prepares students to develop into architectural technologists who play a key role in transforming architectural designs into technical construction documents and practical building solutions. This multi-year program equips students with a solid foundation in building design, construction methods, materials, building codes and regulations, sustainable practices, digital practices and software in CAD, digital project delivery, and 3D visualization as well as the latest digital technologies such as 3D laser scanning, digital photogrammetry and aerial reality capture using drones.

Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on studio projects, students develop technical skills in preparing drawings, specifications, cost estimates and other documentation required for residential, commercial, industrial and institutional building projects. The curriculum covers areas such as building science, project management, detailing, site planning and the integration of various building systems.

Graduates are trained to collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and other professionals in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. The Electromechanical Technician Certificate program provides a complete introduction to electronics and electromechanical systems. In the Mechanical Technician – CNC and Precision Machining two-year diploma program, you’ll dive into the world of precision machining and cutting-edge computer-controlled machine (CNC) technology. Our state-of-the-art labs, including Precision Machining, CAD/CAM, CNC, Research, and Robotics, will set you up with hands-on training and real-world skills. You’ll design and manufacture tools, jigs, fixtures, precision fabrication, assemblies and prototypes using computer-aided design and manufacturing software, precision machining equipment and sophisticated CNC machine tool technology. The Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Technician Certificate program provides the basic technical skills and knowledge necessary to work with programmable logic control systems typically found in an industrial/manufacturing environment. The program covers the operation of various PLC control systems, including both discrete and analog control devices. The simulation software, PLCLogix 500, which is included with the program, simulates the Rockwell RSLogix 500 series of PLCs.

The Honours Bachelor of Behaviour Analysis program combines philosophy, methodology and theory with a strong applied learning component to create a comprehensive understanding of behavioural psychology and, more specifically, applied behaviour analysis (ABA).

The Honours Bachelor of Behaviour Analysis (S303) is an accelerated degree program stream that will give you a comprehensive understanding of behavioural psychology and, more specifically, applied behaviour analysis (ABA). Apply to this stream if you have successfully completed two years of an approved behavioural science technology or technician program. This five-semester program starts with a spring/summer bridging semester that leads into year three (or semester 5) of the four-year degree.

To start your studies in May 2027, apply to the May 2026/27 intake for this program. To begin your studies in May 2026, apply to the 2025/26 academic year.

The American Sign Language and Deaf Studies certificate is a fully online, synchronous program, where students meet live with professors on Zoom. It is open to both Deaf and non-Deaf learners, with classes offered Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. This program will provide you with intensive training in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.

The Deafblind and Intervenor Studies program will prepare you to work with individuals who have combined vision and hearing loss. This is a hybrid program that includes online and in-person components.

George Brown's Early Childhood Education Diploma program will prepare you for a rewarding career in a rapidly evolving sector. In this 16-month online program stream, you will learn to work with children from six weeks to 12 years of age in a variety of early childhood education settings. Students will complete four in-person field placements.

George Brown Polytechnic's Early Childhood (EC) Management Certificate (Post-Diploma) is a certificate program designed to prepare supervisors and directors for their roles and responsibilities in childcare programs, family childcare, preschools, nursery schools, family drop-in centres, family literacy programs and early intervention services. This program will also prepare you for management and leadership in the integrated early childhood system that is emerging in Ontario.

George Brown Polytechnic’s English for Professional Success Certificate will give you the English language skills you need to succeed in Canada's highly competitive workplace. By polishing your verbal, listening and written communication skills, this part-time program will build your confidence in personal and professional interactions. If you’re a non-native speaker and have advanced-level English skills, this program is for you.

The General Arts and Science (One-Year) certificate program will help strengthen your skills for future academic study and entry into the workplace. Over two semesters, you’ll study a range of foundational subject areas that will help you build confidence as you develop critical thinking and information literacy skills. After graduation, you can apply to other post-secondary programs, including George Brown's R101 – a diploma program with several advanced standing pathways to a variety of university degree programs.

The Career Development Practitioner is a one-year online postgraduate program designed to prepare you to guide career exploration, skill acquisition, and job search and maintenance for a diverse range of clients. If you’re passionate about empowering others in their professional and life journeys, fostering strong collaborations for employment and career advancement, and making a meaningful impact in your daily work, this program is for you.

The Child and Youth Care program will prepare you to work effectively with children, adolescents and families who are experiencing social, emotional, developmental and behavioural challenges. The program integrates a holistic approach embedding an ecological perspective and principles of human rights, anti-oppressive practice, resiliency and restorative practice.

In the Child and Youth Care (Accelerated) program, you will have an opportunity to learn how to work effectively with vulnerable children, adolescents and families who are experiencing developmental, mental health, social and emotional difficulties. Apply to this program stream if you have already completed a two- or three-year diploma, or a three- or four-year degree.

The Community Worker program prepares students to work for progressive social change with organizations, communities, and individuals across a range of issues such as poverty, housing, legal rights, discrimination, food justice, immigration and refugee settlement.

Apply to this accelerated stream, a condensed version of the two-year Community Worker (C101) program, if you have an existing diploma or degree.

The Social Service Worker diploma program combines in-class learning with field experience to teach you the skills you need to succeed. You will study theoretical models and approaches to practice as you develop skills in group facilitation, mental health supports, social innovation and anti-oppressive practice. Please note that while the program is classroom-based, a few specific courses offer online sections to enhance access.

Graduates of this program are eligible to register with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
