The Centre for Business’ fourth annual Business Analytics Symposium recently concluded as a success in an invigorating day of discussions, exploring the impact of data analytics on global innovation.

As part of Toronto's bustling Vietnamese student community, amidst meetings and volunteer events for fellow international students, Tony Nguyen and Gia Han Chau's paths crossed.

Last year, more than 800 students participated in School-College-Work Initiative programs at George Brown College, including MJ Given, who completed the SWAC program and is now studying marketing at the Centre for Business.

Graduates of the Business Administration – Supply Chain and Operations Management program are now eligible for advanced standing in the Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation program.

Fahd Chowdhury is a Senior Client Success Specialist at He's also applying everything he's learned as a new immigrant and student in Canada by acting as a mentor for the Centre for Business Student-Alumni Mentorship Program. 

More than 100 students received awards worth a combined value of $160,000 at the June 6 celebration.

Even though Shuang Wu moved to Toronto during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic and was taking online courses, she found many ways to get involved at George Brown College (GBC) and make friends. Now, she wants to share what she's learned from her GBC experience.
