Pride Month is a time when Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual (2SLGBTQIA+) communities and their allies around the world come together in the spirit of activism, remembrance, and celebration.
The Office of Anti-Racism, Equity & Human Rights Services (OAREHRS) partnered with friends across the college to offer an incredible variety of events. And hundreds of GBC students and employees marched together in Toronto’s Pride Parade, marking the first time the college had an official parade contingent!

GBC President Dr. Gervan Fearon and Jennifer Grant, Associate Vice-President of the Office of Anti-Racism, Equity & Human Rights Services reaffirmed our commitment to supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
We enjoyed a fun afternoon with food and activities, including a photo booth, button-making station, community organization information tables and live entertainment.

Anishinaabe activist and artist Sarain Fox, a renowned advocate for Indigenous rights and 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusivity, delivered the Pride keynote address, Beyond Tolerance: Building a Culture of Acceptance and Advocacy. She shared her insights on moving beyond mere tolerance and fostering a culture of true acceptance and advocacy.
