George Brown College's Child Development Practitioner (CDP) program is designed for those already working in the field of Early Childhood who wish to pursue formal studies and receive certification as a Career Development Practitioner. As a CDP apprentice, you will be required to take 23 modules of in-school training on a part-time basis in the evenings. This training is currently being offered in a hybrid format - both in-person and online.

Get ready for a rewarding career working with children from six weeks to 12 years of age in a variety of early childhood education settings with the Early Childhood Education diploma program.  

George Brown College’s part-time Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma program will prepare you to work as a trained early childhood professional. In this part-time program, you will study in the evenings taking one to three courses per semester. Upon completion of this program, you will be eligible for entrance to Ontario’s College of Early Childhood Educators. This is a requirement for anyone wanting to work as an Early Childhood Educator in the province of Ontario.

George Brown College's Early Childhood (EC) Management Certificate (Post-Diploma) is a one-semester program designed to prepare supervisors and directors for their roles and responsibilities in childcare programs, family childcare, preschools, nursery schools, family drop-in centres, family literacy programs and early intervention services. This program will also prepare you for management and leadership in the integrated early childhood system that is emerging in Ontario.

The Assaulted Women's and Children's Counsellor/Advocate (AWCCA) (Accelerated) program will prepare you to provide anti-oppressive counselling and advocacy for survivors of gender-based violence.Apply to this accelerated program stream if you have an existing diploma or degree and work/volunteer experience in feminist organizations and programs and are interested in accelerating your career as a counsellor/advocate for survivors of gender-based violence.If you apply to the 2024/25 intake for this program, you will begin your studies in May 2025. To start this program in May 2024, apply to the 2023/24 intake.     

The Child and Youth Care (Accelerated) program will teach you the skills you need to work effectively with children, youth, and families who are experiencing social, emotional, developmental, and behavioural challenges.Apply to this accelerated program if you have an existing diploma or degree.

The Community Worker (Accelerated) program prepares students to work for progressive social change with organizations, communities and individuals across a range of issues such as poverty, housing, legal rights, discrimination, food justice, immigration and refugee settlement.This accelerated program stream is designed for college and university graduates and is a condensed version of the two-year Community Worker (C101) program. 

The Social Service Worker (Accelerated) program will provide you with the opportunity to learn theoretical models, group facilitation, mental health support, values, ethics and professional practice, and anti-oppressive practice.Apply to this accelerated program if you have a diploma or degree related to the field of social or community work.

The Honours Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management bridging program offers those with a three-year advanced diploma in Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Architecture Technology, Interior Design Technology, or Building Renovation Technology to pursue a degree in the field.You must complete all semester 4 courses successfully (i.e., achieve a grade of C- in all courses and a semester GPA=2.70) before registering for semester 5 of the Honours Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management program.You will complete bridging courses as an intensive block during the spring/summer semesters (May to August).

The Welding Techniques one-year certificate program applies the technical theory and elements of the welding field through hands-on learning, transforming you into a welding pro. With our state-of-the-art welding lab featuring 26 stations and virtual welding simulations, you'll hone your skills in a controlled setting. Take your interior design education to the next level and develop transferable skills for exciting career paths in design, construction, and other industries with the one-year Honours Bachelor of Interior Design (Degree Completion) (T320) program.  This fully online program was developed for graduates of advanced diploma programs in interior design.

Topics include manufacturing protocol, engineering drawing, solid modelling (Solidworks), precision machining, quality control, CNC machining with Mastercam, pneumatics/electro-pneumatic circuits, and microprocessor control systems. Coursework emphasizes practical techniques through applied learning and hands-on lab activities.
