All students, faculty/staff are responsible for understanding and following this guideline when dealing with an extremely traumatic event such as a sexual assault incident. It is the responsibility of all to ensure that victims are to be treated with compassion, respect, empathy and sensitivity.

Guideline:  

Never place yourself in a position of danger;

Do not attempt to deal with a sexual assault you feel is dangerous, on your own;

  • Sexual assault is a criminal act. Notify Campus Security at: 416-415-4000 or “0” from any George Brown Polytechnic internal Cisco phone, if safe to do so, or Police at 911.
  • Provide your name, location and clearly state that you need immediate assistance
  • Protect the immediate area, and Document and submit all relevant information regarding the situation.
