Do you struggle with things like perfectionism or get nervous in social situations? Do you panic sometimes or worry a lot? Is worrying about everyday things interfering with your life? If so, you can connect with a George Brown counsellor, or you might want to learn about a free, well-respected and easy-to-use phone app called MindShift.

MindShift was created by a non-profit Canadian agency called Anxiety Canada to help people who are having problems with anxiety. It helps you look at your own thoughts when you are experiencing things such as general worry, social anxiety, perfectionism, panic or phobias. It does this by helping you learn about healthy thinking and how changing the way you look at things can reduce your anxiety. MindShift is also great because it has built-in audio guides that use mindfulness visualization and relaxation techniques to help you overcome anxiety.

Anxiety is one of the most common issues people struggle with and connecting with Counselling and Student Well-being or trying a free phone app like MindShift are great ways to overcome anxiety and improve your quality of life.
