Accelerating Cyber Security

What does this collaboration offer?

With the support of TD Bank Group (TD) and in collaboration with the Coalition of Innovation Leaders Against Racism (CILAR), George Brown College Continuing Education now offers a series of innovative, self-paced and online micro-credentials related to cyber security roles that span across industry sectors.

As part of the collaboration, TD is supporting the development of the program by providing cyber security tech expertise in a consulting capacity, and CILAR is supporting the outreach strategy for the program, focused on reaching diverse communities to support more learning opportunities and build interest in and awareness of potential careers in cyber security.

Transition to a career in cyber security

The Cyber Security for IT Professionals program is comprised of six courses. Students who successfully pass each course will earn a micro-credential in the form of a digital badge. In addition, upon completion of all six courses, students can request a certificate of completion.

The program is geared toward the following roles:

  • Vulnerability Analyst
  • Threat Intel Analyst
  • Phishing Analyst
  • Cyber security Operations Centre (CSOC) Analyst
  • Cyber security Incident Response (CSIR) Analyst
  • Watch Analyst
