If you have a passion for working with people, we can prepare you for a rewarding career doing important and meaningful work in human services at the Centre for Community Services and Early Childhood. If you are interested in early childhood education and leadership, the
School of Early Childhood has a variety of options to work directly with young children and their families. You can also study to support marginalized youth in the
Child and Youth Care Program. Learn about social justice and community organizing in our
Community Worker Program. Interested in becoming a
Social Service Worker? Our program offers opportunities to learn counselling and group facilitation skills to better support clients with mental health issues. If you have an aptitude for languages, you can develop an expertise in American Sign Language to enable you to work with the Deaf community. The
Intervenor for the Deafblind program will teach you how to communicate in alternative formats, and understand the needs of deafblind children and adults.
We offer 15 full-time
certificate,
diploma, and
degree programs including the
Honours Bachelor of Interpretation (ASL-English) and Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership, as well as part-time Community Services and Early Childhood programs. The Centre for Community Services and Early Childhood offers many options for applicants interested in the human services sector.
