Biography
Heather Daam is a designer and design researcher who is interested in understanding the role a designer plays in bringing together different stakeholders in the design process and focusing the process around the people involved. Her strengths include leading workshops, encouraging people to think together, and generating enthusiasm in the process.
Heather has spent most of her professional career working in the Netherlands where she received her master's degree in design at the Design Academy Eindhoven. She is a former principal designer at T+HUIS, a Dutch community organization that applies design thinking to educational and social projects. She has also worked as a design research associate for the Design Academy Eindhoven and as a designer for the learning department of DLL, a financial company in the Netherlands.
Heather has carried out many independent projects in the fields of social innovation, social design and education, and has presented and been published internationally.
She is an active member of the BlackToe Running community and serves as a guide for visually impaired runners.
