GBC's Response to Violence and Conflict in Israel and Palestine

Main Content

We are profoundly saddened by the violence and conflict in Israel and Palestine. This global event has far-reaching implications, affecting not only the individuals and families directly impacted but also resonating deeply within our multicultural and closely-knit college community. Our thoughts are with those affected by and enduring the challenges caused by the violence and conflict.

We recognize that many of our students, faculty, and staff are deeply impacted, and these tragic events serve as a poignant reminder of the interconnectedness of our world. In the face of such tragedy, it is important that we come together as a community to provide support.

EMPLOYEE WELL-BEING

Our partners from TELUS Health One (formerly LifeWorks) have shared support resources on the effect of traumatic events and how to cope with fear and anxiety about violence to help our college community through these types of crises. These documents may be helpful in offering tips for emotional well-being during challenging times. To access TELUS Health One go to login.lifeworks.com

As a college community, together, we can create an atmosphere of mutual support, demonstrating that even in the darkest of times, our strength as a community shines through with the hope for the peaceful resolution of the conflict.
