To honour the work of John Porter, a bursary has been created in his name to recognize his many contributions to the College and the countless students he has supported and advocated over his 20+ years at the College. During his time at GBP, John was always a strong advocate for increasing access to education through financial supports and this bursary will honour this legacy.
The John Porter International Student Bursary will directly support International students pursuing their education at George Brown Polytechnic, carrying on John’s ongoing legacy of ensuring that no student is denied a post-secondary education because of financial constraints.
