Biography

Marisa Lauri is a professor at George Brown College and an adjunct professor at Algoma University in Brampton. She teaches introductory courses in Canadian business that cover concepts in human resources, leadership, organizational behaviour, management, marketing, economics and finance, as well as more advanced courses in services marketing. Her focus is on achieving measurable outcomes by applying interactive, learner-centred methodologies that encourage the realization of individual talents and potential.

As a management consultant, Marisa has extensive experience in marketing, strategic communications, human resources, change management and organizational effectiveness. She has worked with various conceptual models in these areas to devise practical solutions to business issues both in corporate and entrepreneurial environments. As a consultant, she has worked both at the strategic level, designing and creating business solutions, as well as “in the trenches” with the people responsible for implementing the details of such programs. This broad perspective allows her to formulate strategies that support the culture and business goals of an organization, while delivering results that can be measured and sustained.
