News and Important Dates

We are aware of and have been actively monitoring the evolving diplomatic situation between the governments of Canada and India, given that the college and many students, faculty and staff have direct and indirect connections to India.

On September 22, students and GBC employees celebrated the Nibwaakaawin (Wisdom) program graduation ceremony at the Six Nations Community Hall.

"I encourage everyone in the George Brown College community to attend the ceremony and offer tobacco into the fire as petitions to honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, as well as the survivors and their families,” said Lisa Zangerl, Manager, Indigenous Initiatives.
