George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.
A Student Success initiative in partnership with Toronto District School Board (TDSB), Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) and George Brown Polytechnic to offer secondary students the opportunity to earn secondary school credits and dual credit ‘General Education’ college credits with the goal for students to complete their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and transition to post-secondary destinations.
The primary focus is on students facing challenges in graduating and who have the potential to succeed in college. Courses are delivered by Secondary School Teachers and College Instructors at the Daniel’s Building – Waterfront Campus (3 Lower Jarvis St), in downtown Toronto. The regular program runs twice throughout the school year calendar: once during the fall semester (September – January), and once during the winter semester (February – June). Additionally, SCWI also offers the opportunity to take Summer SWAC (July) for students who need additional credits to graduate in August.
