The Business Administration (with work experience) three-year advanced diploma program will give you a wide variety of options for your career in the business world. With the skills you'll learn, combined with two semesters of real-world work experience, you’ll be prepared to land fulfilling jobs like an assistant manager, customer service representative, financial services representative, project manager or coordinator or sales associate.

Full Description

We’ve designed the Business Administration (with work experience) advanced diploma program to give you the best shot at a wide range of career options in different areas of business. Through a combination of in-class learning and on-the-job experience, you'll gain the knowledge to work in different team settings and even lead your own projects. This program will give you the tools you need to hit the ground running with practical, relevant skills that will set you up for success.

Here are some skills you’ll be able to show off after completion of the Business Administration advanced diploma program:

  • Conduct and present research to help make important business decisions.
  • Take the latest trends and technologies in business and use them to support a company’s goals.
  • Put together a business plan that outlines the big-picture vision of an organization.
  • Apply human resource practices to help achieve management objectives and the organization's goals.

This program (B155) is part of our School of Management and is offered with work experience. Students wishing to apply for Business Administration without work experience should apply to B145.

Your Field Education Options

Work Experience (co-op or internship work term)

This program requires the successful completion of two semesters of work experience to graduate. This work experience is either co-op (paid) or internship (unpaid). Either one will give you the practical experience employers value.

George Brown works with employers and industry partners to identify potential work experience opportunities. Students are also strongly encouraged to pursue self-directed industry work experience opportunities they believe will provide the learning experiences they value and meet the learning outcomes of the program. This valuable work experience can, in turn, be added to your resumé.

In addition to on-the-job work experience, George Brown Polytechnic endeavours to provide field education opportunities with real-world challenges and clients. Find out more about field education.
