George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.
The following tests are available at the George Brown Polytechnic Assessment Centre
Admission Assessments in English, Math and Science are taken by George Brown Polytechnic applicants over the age of 19 as part of the application process.
Placement Assessments in English or Math are taken by most students after they have accepted an offer of admission to George Brown Polytechnic.
If you want to take selected English courses through Continuing Education, you will be required to take the GEA and/or GMA to ensure that you register in the course appropriate to your skill level.
Other Testing Services
The Assessment Centre provides secure, proctored testing services at Casa Loma Campus for Apprenticeship Trade Exemption exams, Asbestos Abatement testing and external invigilation for non-George Brown Polytechnic students writing exams for other institutions or organizations.
We also offer an online testing lab for students required to take a test on Brightspace. Your professor will let you know if you need to come to the Brightspace Testing Lab.
