George Brown offers 20 entrance scholarships for domestic students entering skilled trades programs in Fall 2026.
These include:
- 10 Schulich Builder Scholarships - up to $40,000 per student
- 10 Youth in Trades Access Opportunity Scholarships - $5,000 each

Apprenticeship Programs
George Brown Polytechnic is proud to be one of Ontario's largest apprenticeship training providers.
How apprenticeship works:
- Find an employer: Secure a position with a qualified employer who will sponsor your apprenticeship.
- Register with the Ministry: Complete registration with Skilled Trades Ontario.
- Training: Complete the required in-school training at George Brown Polytechnic and on-the-job hours.
- Certification: Successfully complete your apprenticeship and qualify for your Certificate of Qualification.
