List of Available Awards for International Students:

To be considered for any of the awards listed below students must apply by selecting International Center Scholarships through STU-VIEW and be enrolled full-time in program as an International Student.

Assist on Scholarship for International Students in Two-year Programs

Awarded to an international student based on academic performance and community involvement. The student must be in a Degree/Diploma program.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student must be an international student
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 in at least two full semesters of consecutive study
  • Student must have participated in activities that have made a contribution to other students, their Department/School and/or the College community

50th Anniversary Legacy Leadership Award

The award is available to any international student graduating from their program.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student must be an international student
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • The student must be actively involved in the Community (college and/or external)

Kimokran (Toronto) Scholarship

Awarded to an international student based on academic performance and community involvement.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • be an international student, with a valid Study Permit
  • be registered in a full-time diploma or degree program
  • have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 in at least two full semesters of consecutive study
  • have participated in activities that have made a contribution to other students, their Department/School and/or the College community

International Student ESL Scholarship

International Student ESL Scholarship is awarded to a student in the ESL Program.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student must be an international student
  • Student must be enrolled in the 3rd module.
  • The student must be actively involved in the Community (college and/or external)

International Student Scholarship

International Centre Student Bursary is available to full time international student in any program.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student must be an international student
  • Student must display financial need
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Student must overcome obstacles

Post-Secondary Scholarship for International Students - Certificate

The award is available to eligible returning international students in full-time post-secondary Certificate or Post Graduate Certificate program

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • Student must be an international student, with a valid study permit
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • The student must be actively involved in the Community (college and/or external)

Post-Secondary Scholarship for International Students – Diploma/Degree

Academic Area has donated funds for the establishment of the Post-Secondary Scholarship for International Students. The award is available to students in the Diploma or Degree program in their Second, Third, or Fourth year of study.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • be an international student with a valid Study Permit
  • be registered in a full-time 2, 3 or 4-year diploma or degree program
  • have completed at least two consecutive semesters of study with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 prior to current semester
  • have participated in activities that have made a contribution to other students, their academic department and/or the College community in general
  • has not previously been awarded a scholarship through the George Brown College International Centre

Scotiabank International Partner Entrance Scholarships

Scotiabank has donated funds for the establishment of the Scotiabank International Partner Entrance Scholarships. The award is available to students in any program in their first year of study.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • be an international student (required to have a valid Study Permit in Canada) from one of our partner institutions
  • be studying in the first semester of a full-time post-secondary program (1 award available for Fall entry; 1 for Winter;)
  • not have previously studied at George Brown College at the post-secondary level
  • possess an excellent academic record (“A” average or equivalent)
  • have participated/demonstrated leadership in activities that have made a contribution to other students or their educational community in general
  • be accepted to and later registered in a full-time George Brown College post-secondary program

Successful recipients must complete at least one semester of study at George Brown College and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Scholarship funds will then be credited towards the 2nd semester tuition fees (after the 10 day withdrawal period).

Woori Education Scholarship

Awarded to an international student based on academic performance and community involvement.

The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

  • be an international student, with a valid Study Permit
  • be registered in a full-time diploma or degree program
  • have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 in at least two full semesters of consecutive study
  • have participated in activities that have made a contribution to other students, their Department/School and/or the College community
