What is offered through WAVE Active Living?
Students in WAVE Active Living conduct health assessments for blood pressure, nutrition and fitness to support healthier and more active lifestyles.
This state-of-the-art space provides opportunities for students to offer direct services to clients by completing assessments, discussing options and developing plans to support healthier and more active lifestyles. Ultimately, we will have students working between programs and in conjunction with other healthcare professionals and health promotion organizations as they provide strategies for active living, healthy aging and chronic disease management. This cutting edge interprofessional model of teaching prepares students to work in teams and take a patient-centered approach their health care practices.
