About Live Captioning for Online Events

Live captioning is an important accessibility accommodation that provides real-time text of spoken content during online events. Captioning supports accessibility requirements and helps create an inclusive experience for attendees across the George Brown Polytechnic community.

George Brown Polytechnic provides live captioning services for institution-wide online events to support accessibility and compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Learn how to request captioning for webinars, virtual meetings and online events, and what information facilitators need to provide.
