George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.
Join Us for an Evening of Food, Community, and Student Impact
Every week, George Brown students gather in the Student Success Hub for a pay-what-you-can, nutritious communal lunch — a meal that helps ease food insecurity, builds food literacy, and transforms a campus space into a place of connection and community.
On September 9, we invite you to join our growing community of supporters for a special back-to-school evening celebrating the impact of food, learning, and belonging.
Guests will begin with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Communal Lunch Program kitchen before gathering in the Student Success Hub — the home of our weekly communal lunches — for a curated farm-to-table dinner inspired by the program’s communal dining experience.
This interactive evening offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow supporters, students, faculty, and community members while sharing a meaningful meal around the table. Guests will experience first-hand how food can foster connection, learning, and student success on campus.
Whether you are passionate about student success, food security, sustainability, or community-building, this is an evening you won’t want to miss.
