A college open house—or a polytechnic open house—gives you a chance to see the spaces, meet the people and ask questions that can be harder to answer online. At George Brown Polytechnic’s Open House, you can explore all three downtown Toronto campuses and get a closer look at what studying here could be like.
See the spaces for yourself
A photo of a lab or classroom can give you an idea of where you’ll be learning. Walking through it is different.
At our Open House, you can tour classrooms, labs and other learning spaces at Casa Loma Campus, St. James Campus and Waterfront Campus. You’ll get a better sense of where you could be spending your time and what learning in downtown Toronto might look like day to day.
Ask the questions you can’t answer from a program page
Wondering how much hands-on learning a program includes? What kinds of careers graduates pursue? Or what do students wish they knew before starting?
At Open House, you can talk directly with faculty, current students and staff who can help fill in the blanks. Come with a list of questions or ask them as they come up while you explore.

Get help with what comes next
You don’t need to be ready to apply to get something out of Open House.
You can connect with George Brown teams to learn more about admissions, financial aid, student services and other parts of the student experience. If you’re ready to submit an application, staff will also be available to help. Eligible attendees can receive an OCAS voucher that waives the $150 Ontario Colleges application fee.

George Brown Polytechnic’s Fall Open House takes place Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at all three campuses.
