September welcomes the official launch of Pitch It GBC! 2025, the startGBC annual pitch competition for students and alumni.

What better way to celebrate than to highlight a prize winner from the 2024 competition who has continued to build her business 2312g.

Ka Yan Lee graduated in 2024 with a GBC Diploma in Fashion Techniques and Design and took her learnt skills to the next level by placing them at the heart of her company and its growth.

At 2321g, creativity meets craftsmanship, with every piece telling a story of artistry and passion. 2321g is dedicated to offering unique handmade accessories and high-quality supplies for creative projects, driven by the values of uniqueness, artistry, and eco-consciousness.

Each accessory is more than just a product; it is a handcrafted treasure. Traditional techniques, such as Shibori hand-dyeing and hand embroidery, are used to bring authenticity and charm to each piece.

Additionally, premium fabrics, such as Jacquard denim and wool, are sourced to create standout products that reflect true originality. This commitment ensures that each piece is not only of the highest quality but also meaningful and unique.

What made you want to become an entrepreneur?

I became an entrepreneur to turn my passion for handmade craft and fabric artistry into something meaningful and special, offering timeless pieces and inspiring others to create.

Why did you create your business?

I created 2321g to share creations that inspire others to explore their own creativity. Beyond handmade accessories, I also offer unique supplies to empower people to craft their own one-of-a-kind pieces. 2321g is about supporting creativity with heart in different ways.

What successes have you enjoyed so far with building your company?

The greatest success has been seeing the happiness and excitement when customers truly connect with my products. When they feel like each piece was made just for them. That pride and joy inspire me a lot.

What is one piece of advice you would give to aspiring entrepreneurs?

Build with your hands, lead with your heart.

Any organisations or learning resources you would recommend?
