ALMA is the world’s leading international educational and training centre for Italian Cuisine. ALMA educates chefs and sommeliers from all around the world, forming professionals of Italian Cuisine with training programs at the highest level, executed by the world’s leading teachers.
Students from George Brown's Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts have the opportunity to study at the world renowned ALMA for one month. After this, students embark on a stage in any one of numerous Italian kitchens to build and develop their knowledge of Italian cuisine.

The Chitkara Educational Trust, founded by Dr. Ashok Chitkara in 1998,
was established with the mission to pursue excellence in all fields of
education and to adhere to the highest standards of academic rigour in all its
work. Chitkara has been at the forefront of educating student communities since
1976. Chitkara University offers industry-relevant programs with a carefully
balanced blend of classroom theory and applied learning.Students from Chitkara University initiate their degree
programs in India and articulate into George Brown programs, earning both
institutions’ credentials. These articulated programs are in Hospitality

Affiliated to Sichuan International Studies University, Chongqing Foreign Languages School (CQFLS) is one of the top public secondary schools and a number one language high school in south-western China.
GBC delivers Summer English Programs for CQFLS’s students. The GBC Summer English Camp has been held in several other regions in China including Suzhou, Hangzhou, and Wenzhou.

Foundation for Lifelong Learning (JFLL) have a long-standing relationship that
originated in 1996 through the Canadian International Development Agency. JFLL
began as the JAMAL Foundation in 1973. As an agency of the Ministry of
Education, JFLL supports the UNESCO goal of basic Education for All (EfA) by
2015 and the national drive towards the achievement of universal secondary
education (Grade 11). JFLL locates itself in the hub of non-formal
continuing education for Jamaicans 15 years and older. While the delivery

George Brown College and Manipal University have announced a partnership offering India’s finest budding chefs the opportunity to study abroad while acquiring credentials from both the Culinary Management Program at George Brown and the Welcomgroup Academy of Culinary Arts (WACA) at Manipal. This unique partnership will provide students with a rich program in Indian, Western and European artisan cuisine, taught by top Canadian and Indian culinary experts in state-of-the-art facilities. The program provides an excellent platform for developing quality, workplace-ready graduates who are in high demand with future employers.
Beginning Sept 2013, WACA students who have completed two years of study in Manipal, India will have the opportunity to transfer and complete the second year of George Brown’s Culinary Management Diploma in Toronto. Upon completion, students will graduate with both a Manipal University Bachelor of Culinary Arts as well as a George Brown College Culinary Diploma.
Students may then opt to continue at George Brown, completing a post-graduate certificate course in Italian cuisine, in order to receive an additional credential. This is a unique program offered in partnership with George Brown’s Italian partner enabling students to undertake two semesters at George Brown College and one semester in Italy taking courses for the first two weeks followed by 12 weeks of industry internship at select restaurants.
Nagoya Gakuin University (NGU) was founded in 1964 as a private coeducational four year institution located in Nagoya, the fourth largest city in Japan. It is situated in a highly developed area of industry, economy, and culture. The university has approximately 5,000 students and its study abroad programming provides exchange programs for students and faculty through educational collaboration with overseas academic institutions.
Each year NGU’s Center for International Exchange Programs (CIEP) welcomes 30-40 foreign students at its Institute for Japanese Studies (IJS). Shanghai Urban Construction Engineering School has trained more than 13,000 qualified urban construction talents for Shanghai and the whole country.
George Brown College faculty deliver engineering surveying instruction at SUCES. The SUCES faculty engage in professional development training in the areas of teaching methodology and English language acquisition. SUCES students engage in cross-cultural understanding through participation in George Brown’s international summer English program.
Shanghai Urban Management College is a
multi-divisional college located in Shanghai. It serves 6,000 students with
over 400 faculty members. SUMC was established in 1956 as the Construction
Workers of Shanghai University and has grown to the Shanghai Urban Management
College, reporting to both the Shanghai Municipal Construction Commission and
the Education Commission.
Approved by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission,
the SUMC - GBC partnership was formally established in 2007 and is based on the
articulation of credentials between SUMC and GBC in the field of construction management.
Qualified graduates from the SUMC diploma in Advanced Vocational Technology
Education articulate to the George Brown College Bachelor of Applied Technology
in Construction Science and Management. Graduates of the SUMC diploma in Advanced
Vocational Technology Education not continuing their studies in Canada will
receive a GBC certificate of program completion upon successful completion of
their program at SUMC.
Shortwood Teachers' College was founded in 1885 as part of the package of widespread social, economic and political reforms spearheaded by Sir John Peter Grant who was appointed Governor of Jamaica after 1865. International pathway for SUCEC students in the 5-year/3-year diploma program to complete their final year at GBC and earn both SECEC and GBC diplomas in Early Childhood Education. SUCEC students have the option of participating in the Summer English program run by the School of ESL.
Suzhou Regent International Preschool (SRIP), China
SRIP is an officially recognized lab school affiliate of the GBC School of Early Childhood. As such, GBC students have the opportunity to complete an international work experience in China. SRIP staff can participate in a variety of mentoring and coaching
processes including job shadowing at GBC.
The Tata Institute of Social Sciences
(TISS) was established in 1936, as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate
School of Social Work. The first school of social work in India, TISS was a
