Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) and the CFP® Designation
Financial planners are in demand now and will be even more so in the future. If you're interested in a career in financial planning, FPSC provides resources to start a successful career. FPSC offers exclusive resources like the FPSC Job Board, where prospective employers post positions for financial planners who are actively seeking CFP certification.
Canadian Securities Institute (CSI)
The Canadian Securities Institute is one of the leading educational providers in the financial industry offering designation, certificates, and courses based on the marketplace needs and real-world training.
CSI offers the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), a credential required to be a financial services professional.

Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA)
CPA Canada is the national organization that provides support to Canadian accounting professionals. It represents its members in setting the industry standards, providing educational services, engaging with the community and stakeholders and advocating for professional policies.
Association of Chartered Professional Accountants (ACCA)
ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the global body for finance professionals, offering business-relevant, first-choice qualifications to people of application, ability and ambition around the world who seek a rewarding career in accountancy, finance and management.
ACCA supports its 208,000 members and 503,000 students in 180 countries, helping them to develop successful careers in accounting and business, with the skills required by employers. Program Advisory Committee
Our industry partnerships help ensure that George Brown programs are always up-to-date with training reflecting the needs of the accounting and finance industry. Consisting of prominent members of the business community, alumni, faculty members and other leaders, the Program Advisory Committee meets to make recommendations on our programming, so our students learn current in-demand skills.

Key Partnership Events
Since 2012 the School of Marketing and Financial Services at George Brown, in partnership with The Globe and Mail, has been running one of the biggest sports business awards in Canada – 5 to Watch. The 5 to Watch awards are presented annually to five business professionals that have achieved remarkable career success prior to their 40th birthdays. A special Alumni Achievement Award is also given to a graduate of the Sports and Event Marketing program. The awards show raises money for student scholarships and bursaries. The event has become a must-attend in the sports business industry attracting over 400 professionals to celebrate, network and drive the industry forward.

Speed Mentoring
The School of Marketing and Financial Services offers a Speed Mentoring event to connect current students with industry professionals and alumni. In one evening, students get a chance to meet with multiple professionals face-to-face and build their business network.
