How is my accommodation plan shared with professors?

Main Content

Students registered with Accessible Learning Services (ALS) receive a specialized accommodation plan, which is shared with professors by an Accessibility Consultant. No information related to your disability appears on the accommodation plan.

Students are strongly encouraged to register with ALS as early as possible to avoid a delay in service and so that your professors can work with you to meet your needs in the classroom, on tests and exams, and/or with Work Integrated Learning.

A student should advise their Accessibility Consultant as soon as possible if changes to their accommodations are necessary. If your accommodation plan is updated, your professors will receive a revised accommodation plan from your Accessibility Consultant.

Please contact your Accessibility Consultant if you have questions about how best to communicate with a professor about your accommodations. Please refer to the Contact Us webpage.
