Depending on the type of course and the timing of your request, you may be eligible for a partial refund if you drop a course.

Post-Secondary Course Withdrawal

If you drop a course from a post-secondary program, you may be eligible for a partial refund if:

  • You drop the course or submit a request by Day 10 of the semester (which is the last day to withdraw with a partial refund), and
  • Dropping the course changes your registration status from full-time to part-time.

If you are registered part-time, you must drop the course or submit a request by Day 10 of the semester. If you do so, you will receive a full refund less a $20.00 administrative fee for each course dropped and less any non-refundable material fees.

Program Withdrawal

If you withdraw from your entire program by Day 10 of the semester (which is the last day to withdraw with a partial refund), you are eligible to receive a refund minus the non-refundable deposit and any non-refundable material fees.

See Important Dates for all post-secondary program deadlines.

Continuing Education Courses Withdrawal

To withdraw from a continuing education (CE) course, you must submit your request in writing by emailing cereg@georgebrown.ca. Please note that CE course withdrawals cannot be completed through STU-VIEW. For more information, see Withdrawals and Refund Policy.
