Studying dance at George Brown College means training in the heart of one of Canada’s top cultural centres. With hundreds of theatre, dance, and production companies, Toronto offers extraordinary opportunities to aspiring performers. You will become part of the city’s vibrant dance community as you perform in public shows and work with leading dance professionals.


Our programs cover a variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz, and hip hop. Most of our instructors are professionals with Jörgen Dance, which means you are training alongside the best! With our location in Toronto, you’re never far away from inspiration. Studying here, you’ll be close to hundreds of production, theatre, and dance companies, and you’ll have an opportunity to perform for the public on some of those stages.

Connected to industry

George Brown College has been the home of Jörgen Dance since 1989. In 1992, Jörgen Dance and George Brown College entered a formal partnership to jointly develop George Brown Dance. Today, George Brown Dance is one of the largest post-secondary dance institutions in Canada.
