George Brown Polytechnic’s Chef School hosted its third annual Roots & Recipes event as part of Black Futures Month, bringing together students, faculty, and community members for a powerful celebration of Black culinary heritage.

George Brown Polytechnic has formalized a partnership with the Black Entrepreneurship Alliance through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) announced February 5, 2026, at the BEA's annual Demo Day.

George Brown Polytechnic officially opened its 2026 Black Futures Month programming on February 5 with the unveiling of the newly named William Peyton Hubbard Atrium at the Chef School.
