A week-long celebration is underway as George Brown College celebrates its Class of 2025 at convocation ceremonies taking place from June 9 to 13 at Meridian Hall.

Nadine is the CEO of the Ontario HIV Treatment Network and a faculty member in the Child and Youth Care program.

This week, we are kicking off Black Futures Month — a time for us to recognize and celebrate the incredible work and achievements of Black communities, including those here at George Brown College.

Minister Nolan Quinn visited the college for a two-hour tour that included a site visit at Limberlost Place, our mass-timber building opening in 2025, and our health sciences and hospitality and culinary arts learning environments.

We highlighted George Brown’s role as a climate change solutions leader through academic programming, partnerships and capital projects such as our mass-timber building, Limberlost Place.

The event was co-hosted by the Canadian Wood Council and George Brown College’s Brookfield Sustainability Institute, as part of their multi-year strategic partnership.

George Brown has partnered with the Afro Canadian Contractors Association (ACCA) to deliver targeted training in business development, financial management, and leadership to entrepreneurs.
