The winning employers were announced on December 4, 2020 in the Greater Toronto’s Top Employers 2021 report, published in The Globe and Mail. The report highlights many reasons why George Brown was selected, including:
- Opportunities for ongoing employee learning and development, including tuition subsidies
- A defined benefit pension plan and retirement planning assistance
- Maternity and parental leave top-up payments
Employers are evaluated on several criteria including health, financial and family benefits, employee communications, training and skills development, community involvement and more.
