George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.

Creator Spotlight: Cherie Dimaline
“Politics and opinion shift the lens, outside looking in, but never in focus.”
“I am from these women and the men they allowed to live with them – the ones who hunted at night, who carried personal coolers to the party, who caught right hooks as well as they threw them. I grew up playing euchre inside thin walls. I know which moon can bring or take sight.”

“[Empire of Wild] is tight, stark, visceral, beautiful – rich where richness is warranted, but spare where want and sorrow have sharpened every word.” (National Public Radio)
