The three Teaching & Learning awards were presented on June 29 and nominations are now closed.
Please note: Employees with two or more years of service (or six semesters of part-time teaching) are eligible for nomination, and must not have received the same award within the last two years.
Educator of the Year
Eligibility: Faculty
Awards: 1 (Individual)
Award Received: Plaque, letter of recognition and up to $2000 in funding to attend a conference of their choice, approved by their manager.
This award recognizes a GBP educator for teaching excellence, as demonstrated through exemplary practice and contributions that nurture excellence within the broader institutional learning environment. Presented at Convocation and celebrated at the June 29 Teaching and Learning Conference.
Nominees not selected will be recognized for their nomination and will be acknowledged for their contribution to GBP and the teaching and learning environment.
Innovation (Teaching & Learning)
Eligibility: Faculty
Awards: 1 (Individual or Team)
Award Received: Plaque and letter of recognition
This award recognizes employees who have designed and implemented a significant innovation that positively impacts the learning of George Brown Polytechnic students. Presented at the June 29 Teaching and Learning Conference.

SoTL Scholar
Eligibility: All employees
Awards: 1 (Individual or Team)
Award Received: Plaque, letter of recognition and up to $2000 in funding to attend a conference of their choice, approved by their manager.
The SoTL Scholar Award recognizes an individual or team for their outstanding contributions to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and the college's knowledge of and commitment to evidence-informed practice. Presented at the June 29 Teaching and Learning Conference.
