George Brown’s Director of WIL, Experiential Education & Global Mobility appointed EWO President-Elect

We’re proud to announce that Dario Guescini, George Brown College’s Director of Work-Integrated Learning, Experiential Education and Global Mobility has been appointed President-Elect of Experiential and Work-Integrated Learning Ontario (EWO).

Dario Guescini

Guescini will serve a four-year appointment — two years as president-elect and two years as  president.

He brings great expertise to his new role with EWO. Since 2018, he’s been leading the charge at George Brown to build and expand opportunities for students to gain real-world and hands-on learning experiences. His crucial work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in rich digital work experiences for George Brown students with employer partners across Canada and around the world.

“It is truly an honour to serve as the President-Elect of EWO. COVID-19 has accelerated challenges our industry partners were facing even before the pandemic, including the urgent need for workforce upskilling and the search for new talent,” Guescini said. “The work-integrated and experiential learning programs offered by our post-secondary institutions in Ontario build a seamless bridge between learners and employment. EWO is committed to providing a consolidated voice for Ontario’s Experiential and Work-Integrated Learning sector as we promote and enable the successful integration of students and industry.”
