Support the Angelo Trimmeliti Memorial Scholarship

Angelo Tommaso Trimmeliti made himself a promise while battling illness: “I will not break,” he said. He kept that promise.

If you were to ask those who knew him best to describe Angelo, you would hear words like humour, determination, intelligence and positivity in just about every answer. But there is one word you will hear without exception: Strength.

Angelo glowed with a strength of body, mind and spirit that left a mark on all who crossed his path. Anyone who worked out with him, was trained by him, took one look at him, or was ever on the receiving end of a high-five from him, knew that his physical strength was truly remarkable. As impressive as his deadlifts were, however, they paled in comparison to his mental strength. In the face of relentless and unimaginable hardship, Angelo’s courage, determination, tenacity and resolve were, and continue to be, sources of inspiration and motivation for those who knew him. He did not break.

His spirit, in the hearts of those who knew him, will not break.

The Angelo Trimmeliti Memorial Scholarship will support a George Brown student who shows a demonstrated passion and participation in fitness, health and/or athletics, a commitment to serving their community, and, above all, has overcome health or other significant personal obstacles to undertake their studies at GBC.
