George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.
To honour the work of George Brown Polytechnic President Emeritus, Anne Sado, an endowed scholarship has been created in her name to support the continuation of her significant contribution as President of the College from 2004 to 2020 to making education more accessible.
The Anne Sado Bridging to Opportunity Endowed Scholarship will support students enrolled in bridging programs across George Brown Polytechnic. Bridging programs allow post-secondary students’ previous education and work experience to be recognized in their pursuit of further education. Students in bridging programs are able to access greater opportunities in an accelerated way, often providing the option to move from a diploma to degree pathway, opening up their professional opportunities upon graduation.
Anne has been relentless in supporting students in achieving their education and career goals. The Anne Sado Bridging to Opportunity Endowment is but a part of her exceptional legacy.
Please consider donating to this scholarship fund today. You will receive a tax receipt for your charitable donation.
