Memberships and Affiliations
The School of Management values its industry relationships and ensures students have opportunities to connect with professional bodies while completing their education. Some of our current affiliations include:
Forum for International Trade Training (FITT)
George Brown College has partnered with FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) to offer FITT-accredited courses. FITT provides world-leading international trade training and the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP®) designation to help trade professionals excel in their careers and gain a competitive advantage in global markets. FITT's training and certification are also endorsed by the Canadian government, Export Development Canada (EDC) and the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA).
When students successfully complete the FITT-accredited program, they can apply to transfer their credits directly to FITT and complete the required assessment(s) in order to receive the FITT Certificate in International Trade for completing 3 FITTskills courses, and the FITT Diploma in International Trade for completing all 6 FITTskills courses. Earning the FITT Diploma will also fulfill the educational requirements to be eligible to apply for the CITP designation.
International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA)
The School of Management has a close relationship with the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA). Students have an opportunity to meet industry professionals and attend informative speaker sessions from inspired industry professionals.
Project Management Institute (PMI)
George Brown College is recognized as a Global Registered Education Provider with the Project Management Institute (PMI). Graduates of any of the George Brown College courses listed on PMI's Registered Education Provider portal will have satisfied the education requirements necessary to apply to the Project Management Institute (PMI) for either the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
SAP Learning Hub
SAP University Alliance has granted the students in Business Administration – Supply Chan and Operations Management (B122/B162) Program access to the SAP Learning Hub. Students can access the SAP Learning Hub, academic edition by logging in using their registered credentials.

Networking Events
The School of Management holds multiple networking events to connect students with the industry and alumni. Our past events include Mentor's Day in conjunction with SAS Canada, a leading company in business analytics, and an Analytics Social that draws a great number of industry professionals and recruiters interested in hiring George Brown College's students.
Speed Mentoring
Our students get an opportunity to attend Speed Mentoring events where they meet face to face with industry professionals. Students get to introduce themselves to experienced business professionals, who share their experiences related to their career, learn more about what to expect after graduation and get invaluable advice from those who managed to make it to the top.
