Since graduating with a Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management, Paul Leckey has rapidly built a career as a corporate headhunter in the financial services sector.
“Making the most of the internships offered by George Brown was integral to my early success,” Paul explains. “I accepted a placement with a generalist staffing firm, and though I knew little about the industry at the time, I felt the topics covered in my George Brown program were transferable to the role.” This intuition proved correct, and within a year Paul was promoted twice. He recently accepted a role as a Specialized Recruitment Consultant at IQ Partners Financial, a highly regarded executive search firm in Toronto’s financial district.
“I thrive on the challenge that comes with connecting top talent with top jobs, and feel like I’m adding value when I help companies hire better quality employees,” says Paul. “I love what I do, and the skills I acquired at George Brown were the perfect leverage into this industry.”
