George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.

George Brown Polytechnic staff are unable to assist students when applying for their initial study permits. For more information on how to apply for a study permit, please visit the IRCC website.
However, George Brown Polytechnic does have Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors (RISIA) on staff who are licensed to provide advice on study permit extensions, work permits, and temporary resident visas, as they pertain to the student program. This is a free and confidential service available to current (registered) students only by our International Student Advisors.
