George Brown Polytechnic is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and other Indigenous peoples who have lived here over time. We are grateful to share this land as treaty people who learn, work and live in the community with each other.

Our Indigenous Initiatives team works to support students in achieving their academic, work, and life goals at the College. Current initiatives include:
- Funding, Scholarships, and Awards to help pay for college.
- Student Centres and Study Space with access to computers and more.
- Indigenous Mentorship Program that can help build personal and professional skills.
- Resources and Links to useful services in the community.
In addition, throughout the year, we curate events, teachings, and workshops to promote understanding and appreciation of Indigenous culture.
