Pre-admission/Placement Tests
Pre-admission testing (Admission Assessment) is a test applicants or mature applicants may be required to take during the application process if they are missing the admission requirements for their program. The Admission Assessment could be in English, Math, and/or Science (Biology and Chemistry). If you are required to take this assessment, you will receive an email from the Admissions Office.
See Mature Student Status for more information.
Placement Test (Placement Assessment) is for students who have accepted an offer of admission at George Brown College. The assessment result determines whether you are ready to take college-level credit courses in English or Math. Or if you will need to take the foundational-level courses first to develop your skills. Please select the Applicant Admission Summary card in your STU-VIEW account and select the Admissions Application Summary link to see if you are required to take a placement assessment. You may also book your assessment date directly from this page. Note an NT (No Placement Assessment Score) hold will be placed on your account until you have completed your assessment.
